The CARESLab welcomes Jullye Ponsoni from the University of Paraná for a three-month research internship from May 6 to July 26! Jullye will be assisting with the project A phenomenological study of the lived experiences of intimate partner violence among disabled women in Newfoundland.
Jullye is a Brazilian student in her final year of the psychology program at the Federal University of Paraná, located in the city of Curitiba in the southern region of Brazil. Jullye aspires to build a research career in health psychology, exploring topics such as gender, disability, thanatology, and palliative care. Jullye has been involved in numerous research projects and teaching assistantships in Brazil.
In addition to her research endeavors, Jullye has experience working in healthcare settings with oncology and terminally ill patients and their families and bereaved parents.
