A group of educators, students, and community members who are passionate about creating more inclusive and accessible learning environments is currently designing and launching a Community of Practice for Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in Newfoundland and Labrador! This initiative is funded by the Public Engagement Accelerator Fund at Memorial University.
Our mission is to increase inclusive learning environments for students in Newfoundland and Labrador by promoting the implementation of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles and guidelines in educational settings across the province.
By launching a Community of Practice, we are interested in growing and sustaining a vibrant community consisting of educators, students, community members, and stakeholders united by a shared commitment to advancing Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in Newfoundland and Labrador. We hope that community members can engage in transformative learning experiences, share valuable insights, and co-create innovative solutions to advance UDL implementation throughout the province and beyond.
We are currently seeking feedback from educators, students, and community members to inform the creation of the Community of Practice. If you are interested in providing feedback or getting involved, please contact Dr. Ami Goulden (agoulden@mun.ca) or Sean Fardy (sf6218@mun.ca) for more information.
