The Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Community of Practice (CoP) will hold its next session this Friday, October 24, from 2:00–3:30 p.m. NDT. The event will be offered in a hybrid format, with opportunities to join online or in person at the School of Social Work, Memorial University (Room J-2008, St. John’s College, 230 Prince Philip Drive).
This session, titled Beyond the Binary – Centring Gender Diversity in UDL, will be facilitated by Logan St. Croix (he/they), Project Coordinator at Trans Support NL. We’ll explore how centring gender diversity within Universal Design for Learning can help create spaces where trans, non-binary, and gender-diverse learners feel seen, valued, and supported.
Join us for a thoughtful discussion on how UDL principles can inform teaching practices, policies, and community engagement in ways that foster belonging and inclusion. You can learn more about Trans Support NL and their work at tsnl.org.
