The CARES Lab is currently recruiting participants for a research study exploring how disabled young women and gender-diverse people experience reproductive care in Newfoundland and Labrador.
This study focuses on experiences related to things like birth control, periods, pregnancy, and decision-making. What participants share will help inform the creation of a graphic novel that centres lived experience and supports learning, reflection, and change.
Participation involves completing an online survey and taking part in a one-day, in-person focus group (St. John’s, Corner Brook, or Happy Valley–Goose Bay). An honorarium is available to thank participants for their time and contributions.
If you are 18–24 years old, live in Newfoundland and Labrador, identify as a disabled person, and identify as a young woman, non-binary, or gender-diverse person, you may be eligible to take part.
The first step is to register for a short screening phone call to learn more and confirm eligibility. Registering for a screening call does not mean you are committing to participate.
